Shiatsu means pressure of the finger in Japanese and is a prophylactic and supporting means of treatment to maintain health and to strengthen vitality. Its roots lie in the Chinese art of healing. Shiatsu helps to correct the Chi/Ki's imbalance (vitality) and to keep it flowing. The therapist works with pressure of the fingers, palms, elbows and knees on the meridians (energy paths). This treatment enables to feel and strengthen the self-healing force. Thereby the well-being of body, soul and spirit is increased.
You are lying on the futon or the massage bed, wearing comfortable clothing, and the treatment consists of calm, flowing movements. |
